Lessons have been taught to us by life that we,
What happened was forgotten by Ilm books too.

सबक वो हमको पढ़ाए हैं ज़िंदगी ने कि हम,
हुआ था जो इल्म किताबों से वो भी भूल गए।


The life that I thought everyone said,
She was crying while standing near us.

वो ज़िंदगी जिसे समझा था कहकहा सबने,
हमारे पास खड़ी थी तो रो रही थी अभी।


Life is some way that the ocean is someone,
I know which water I am in.

ज़िंदगी तू कोई दरिया है कि सागर है कोई,
मुझको मालूम तो हो कौन से पानी में हूँ मैं।


All things have to be accepted, your life by bowing your head
You also agree to some conditions, according to my calculations.

हर बात मानी है तेरी सिर झुका कर ऐ ज़िंदगी,
हिसाब बराबर कर तू भी तो कुछ शर्तें मान मेरी।


Now I understand the bitterness of sweet words,
The experience of life has become a little bit.

अब समझ लेता हूँ मीठे लफ़्ज़ों की कड़वाहट,
हो गया है ज़िंदगी का तजुर्बा थोड़ा थोड़ा।


How much more I change myself to live life,
Life, let me have a little rest in me.

कितना और बदलूं खुद को ज़िंदगी जीने के लिए,
ऐ ज़िंदगी, मुझको थोड़ा सा मुझमें बाकी रहने दे।


After changing the perspective, there will be an eye on every side,
Life will be crazy for your suffering here too.

नजरिया बदल के देख, हर तरफ नजराने मिलेंगे,
ऐ ज़िंदगी यहाँ तेरी तकलीफों के भी दीवाने मिलेंगे।


Achieve-e-life is nothing but haunters
It is not done, it is not done, it is not found, it is not done.

हासिल-ए-ज़िंदगी हसरतों के सिवा और कुछ भी नहीं,
ये किया नहीं, वो हुआ नहीं, ये मिला नहीं, वो रहा नहीं।


I do not have so much experience in life guys
But people say that there is no cut here with simplicity.

मुझे ज़िंदगी का इतना तजुर्बा तो नहीं है दोस्तों,
पर लोग कहते हैं यहाँ सादगी से कटती नहीं।


The paths have left me, the paths have taken over,
Life does not need you, I was raised by accidents.

मंजिलें मुझे छोड़ गयी रास्तों ने संभाल लिया,
जिंदगी तेरी जरूरत नहीं मुझे हादसों ने पाल लिया।


Some such accidents also happen in life, my friend,
Man survives but does not live.

कुछ ऐसे हादसे भी होते हैं ज़िंदगी में ऐ दोस्त,
इंसान बच तो जाता है मगर ज़िंदा नहीं रहता।


Whenever I wanted to solve the questions of life,
Life got entangled in every question.

जब भी सुलझाना चाहा ज़िंदगी के सवालों को मैंने,
हर एक सवाल में जिंदगी मेरी उलझती चली गई।


Life, break and scatter us this time,
May we not be broken again, nor can you be reunited.

ऐ ज़िंदगी, तोड़ कर हमको ऐसे बिखेरो इस बार,
न फिर से टूट पायें हम, और न फिर से जुड़ पाए तू।


Leave where I get the wound from
Tell me how much life is left.

छोड़ ये बात कि मिले ज़ख़्म कहाँ से मुझको,
ज़िंदगी इतना बता कितना सफर बाकी है।


Have seen life so closely,
Faces are beginning to look all strange now.

देखा है ज़िंदगी को कुछ इतना करीब से,
चेहरे तमाम लगने लगे हैं अब तो अजीब से।
